The greatest attraction this year is certainly the man who will also open the fair event – the Olympic and world champion, a showman and the ex – skier Alberto Tomba.
- I am convinced that Tomba, just like Stenmark last year, will raise publicity worth every attention, that there will be a lot of talks these days about Belgrade Fair and EXPO-ZIM. This is a man who attracts attention and, if I were a sport reporter, I would not resist announcing him by the words – Let it blow up like a bomb(a), here he comes, Alberto Tomba, said Mr. Andjelko Trpkovic, General Manager of Belgrade Fair.
Featuring this event at the press conference, Mr. Dragan Zecevic, Project Manager, pointed out, this Fair was under the permanent expansion and this year it was for 40% larger than the previous one. At 6,000 sq. m. there will be 80 companies featuring themselves in trading with the complete sports equipment and winter tourism.
- The fact that the EXPO-ZIM is the only and largest fair event of this type in the region is also important for us, since our previous model, the Budapest Fair, has been worse already for many years, and the closest similar event is in Italy, said Mr. Zecevic.
- Spreading and popularization of the recreation sports is the traditional motivation for participation of the Sport for All Association in this event organization, said Mr. Petar Stakic, its President. – The nice habit of going to the mountains and for skiing is coming back and this sport is among the ten most popular ones again. This event will have something for everyone and, in addition to the equipment, it is famous also for friendship and obtaining the correct information where, how and under which conditions one can go for skiing. I do not want to speak about names, but there will be many sportsmen and sports staff, sensations may be expected there.
The exhibitors prepared for the visitors great discounts, as well, from 10 to 30 percent, and the Public Company Serbian Ski Grounds will present ski centers and sell ski passes for this season under the 10% discount.
A special attraction on Saturday, December 8, will be the first snow board competition on the open air area in front of the Hall 1. Arrival of the European professional drivers has been announced, among others Neitz Ferlan, the winner of the Euro Cup 2006, on Kopaonik and Mario Benio from Bulgaria, one of the favorites at the forthcoming World Cup. |
