Application of Entrepreneurship into Educational System
Application of Entrepreneurship into Educational System "The Strategy of Competition and Innovation of Small and Medium Enterprises from 2008 – 2012" is one of the topics included in the BUSINESS BASE Accompanying Programme. The organiser of the lecture is the Ministry of Economy and Regional Development, i.e. the Sector for the Development of SMEE. The most significant issues were brought by Dejan Jovanovic, Director of the Agency for the Development of SMEE, and Igor Brkanovic, Assistant Dept. Minister.

Director of the Agency has warned that it is necessary to establish the realistic goals for better and easier application of the strategy. It is also very important to establish entrepreneurs’ problems since this is the only way to avoid them, and the right way to increase efficiency and innovations.

-Serbia has only one seventh of an average European gross domestic product, and is on the 91st position according to competition with a large rate of unemployment. It is necessary to change these indicators before the EU integration process, and a number of measures and activities must be undertaken, Ogor Brkanovic said.

-The message of the necessity to start private business has not been clear enough and the young people are not ready to start private business. The entrepreneurship must be officially applied in the educational system, continuing the present support to entrepreneurship. Examples have shown that children are excellent entrepreneurs, but this attitude is often lost when the right time comes to apply it in real life. That’s why this gap has to be bridged and it is not to be forgotten that even the smallest business, when a child makes a greeting card and sells it to his autn, is the solid business, Assistant Minister explained.
