MIT Ltd. company from Novi Sad is the agent and importer of several renowned manufacturers of medical equipment and remedies for urgent medical care (WaterJel USA – burn compresses and gels); SAM Medical – immobilization splints; Laerdal - simulators for the first aid training, as well as advanced life support skills, advanced life support skills; Waismed – intraossal access devices; EliteBags – medical bags).

At the 112 EXPO, MIT will try to rise the awareness on the necessity to have the adequate and timely medical protection under the emergency situations for both the victims and rescue officers, as well as prevention of possible complications of the injured persons, which may be provided by the adequate treatment and care, due to various types of injuries (burns, traumas, drowning, sudden cardiac arrests…).

The WaterJel burn compresses and gel are a medical remedy, created originally for the US Army needs after the Vietnam War and then also commercially, at the civilian market. They are an ideal solution for any burn types and grades that may be caused on a human body. The NATO Army still uses them. Any ambulance, fire, police and other urgent teams have these products as a standard in their equipment. They are used in the Formula 1, as well.

They expect in MIT to manage to transfer positive experiences and trends of similar departments abroad and this type of protection, prevention and treatment to become in the future, by the awareness rising and education, a compulsory link in the prevention and reaction under emergency situations, as well as the occupational safety and health.
