In Spite of the Crisis, SEEBBE Is Still ‘In Progress’

One of the prestigious Belgrade Fair events – International Building Trade Fair – SEEBBE is held for the 38th time on April 24 – 28, it was announced at the media conference.

Under the slogan ‘In Progress’, 850 exhibitors, among them 256 from 26 countries, will feature in all the seven halls and the most attractive outdoor exhibiting space. SEEBBE 2012 gathered also this year all local and international leaders in the construction material production and all construction fields are represented there, from the latest materials, equipment, tools and machinery, through innovations in design and project management, up to the latest construction systems.

Announcing this event with great reputation and importance in the region, Ms. Mirjana Jovanovic, Project Manager, said the several years long crisis in Serbia, neighboring countries and worldwide certainly affected this branch, but the exhibitors knew their participation in the Belgrade Building Fair was a cost-effective investment:

-The crisis brought to the reduced investment and lower buying power, which affects civil engineering directly, but banking and Governmental supports started having effects. The civil engineering is certainly a moving activity, since 52 industrial branches are engaged for the needs of this one. However, the situation is still difficult, there is a great lack of liquidity and only a third of construction capacity has been engaged. Even under such conditions, the Belgrade Building Fair is the regional leader and the participants know the whole investment into their participation in this event will be cost-effective. Similar fair events in the region have been cancelled, even three of them in the EU countries, which additionally confirms our event reputation. We expect 50 thousand visitors, first of all the business ones, but also general audience. Thus, Belgrade Fair is proud of this event and Belgrade and Serbia should be it, as well.

Signing the Protocol of Cooperation with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, the International Building Trade Fair became officially a humanitarian character event. Ms. Snezana Divac, President of the Board of Directors of the Foundation, spoke about this cooperation and the action Let’s All Help:

-Since the Foundation has been founded, there is a difficult situation, nut we have to help those who have a more difficult one. A few years ago, we got a prefabricated house for a family at this event and this year we expect the Fair to be the place for money and construction material donation for the construction of the fourth building with the flats for refugees and moved persons. We are proud to open the first building on April 20 and invite all companies and individuals who can help, since we would close all Collective Centers on Belgrade territory by the fourth building construction.
