QUOTES ON HORTICULTURE AND GIFTS OF NATURE

Milan Cupric, Manager of Department for Herb Production and Processing has spoken of the auspices of the Ministry of Agriculture:

“The Ministry is sponsoring these events for seven years, so 30 exhibitors will be presented on our stand. Our aim is to gather and connect primary agricultural producers as well as presenting numerous supporting activities – watering systems, green houses, plant nourishments and equipment. It is also important to create the incentive of fair appearances as a way of approaching the market, as well as supporting the cooperation of small producers in order to appear on domestic and foreign markets”.

These two events are small but attractive, gathering exhibitors from the country and abroad from different segments”, said Sanja Ognjanovic, the new organiser of Horticulture and Gifts of Nature. She said that exhibitors from Belgium and Hungary will have their exhibition stands, while Greece is presented as the first-time exhibitor. More than an exhibition, this event is also featuring an abundant Accompanying Programme.

Ljubica Radoja has spoken on behalf of the co-organiser and the firm “GRAS”,  as a long-time exhibitor at Horticulture. As a producer, exporter, importer and dealing with the arrangement of green areas, “GRAS” has been supporting this exhibition for a number of years, contributing to the preservance of nature and the city’s appearance. Since the Press Conference was held in the “Japanese Garden” in the Botanical Gardens, the journalists have received suitable presents – the seedlings of the Japanese maple tree and an evergreen magnolia.

“Botanical Garden is a small oasis surrounded by the most polluted part of Belgrade”, said Dr. Milan Veljic, Assistant to Director of Botanical Garden “Jevremovac”. It’s beautiful here now, and in ten days the garden will be in full bloom. It was our pleasure to host the representatives of Belgrade Fair and journalists, and will always be, whether on such occasion, or not. Our garden will have a cosmopolitan look in a two-years-time since we are planning huge refurbishments. By the end of March a tender documentation for the interior decoration will be completed, for the project worth more than 70 million dinars. We’ll also have an international tender for the reconstruction of the green house, a project worth 1,5 million euros.
