- These are events having a great tradition, so that this is the 48th, i.e. 29th opportunity for the textile, leather and footwear industries to show what they can offer. Belgrade Fair is a link between the industries and end users and we believe these events have a perspective, said Mr. Andjelko Trpkovic, General Director of Belgrade Fair at the Press Conference. |

Under insisting upon the problems that these industries have had already for years, Mr. Milan Knezevic, President of the Textile, Garment, Leather and Footwear Manufacturers Union, pointed out the Fair was one of the rare places where they could show its vitality, as well. Within the side event program, he announced a meeting with manufacturers / exhibitors on the methods and ways these industries should follow.
- About 180 exhibitors will feature themselves in the Halls 1, 2 and 5, and the festive opening has been appointed for Thursday, October 4, at 5.00 p. m. The Fair will be opened by Ms. Jasna Matic, State Secretary for Foreign Economic Relations, after which a collective fashion show will take place by the companies Modus, AMC and Stig, said Ms. Vesna Petrovic, Project Manager of the Fair of Textiles, Clothing and Equipment. The international exhibitors arrive from Italy, Greece, Turkey, Germany, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia and Macedonia. For the first after ten years, socking manufacturers will introduce themselves and very valuable various purpose equipment will be featured to the business visitors, as well.

Ms. Olga Tomovic, Project Manager of the Fair of Leather, Footwear and equipment, said this year’s event was characteristic for return of many previous exhibitors, but also that many new manufacturers would introduce themselves, as well. In addition to the final products, the complete production materials would be exhibited, as well – from adhesives to the leather sewing needles and, in addition to the footwear, leather and fur garments and leather goods would be very much represented, too.

- In spite of the 18 years long tradition, UMS – International Agency and School for Talents participates in the Fair for the first time this year, said Mr. Marin Milosavljevic, Project Manager of the UMS. – Single, but also the noon collective fashion shows will take place under our organization. I would especially point out the importance of the collective fashion shows, since it is the ways of attractively presenting even the smallest manufacturers. The media presentation of these events will be completed by the TV Fair Chronicle, which we shall carry out with Pink and Pinks Kids respectively. |
