The Disturbed Value System a Considerable Cause of School Violence

"The School Violence Prevention" is one of the major important topics discussed today at the International Property, Personal and Business Protection Fair. The youngsters and teenagers care provides a special importance to this field.

- In order to reduce the school violence, a wide range action is necessary in various society segments, since the results may not be obtained by simple methods and way, says Professor Zoran Kekovic from the Faculty of Security Studies in Belgrade.
- The risk estimation is very important, then the risk factor reducing and the substantial changes will happen only after the changes in the value system, first of all in the family, but also in the whole society.

The experts insisted upon the necessity of a better connecting of the theory and practice, as well as raising the sensitivity treshold of the responsible persons in the schools and all those involved in these problems. In order to prevent the violence indeed, it has to be recognized in due course and the recognizing is related to both physical and verbal ones.

Dr. Kekovic reminds the crisis in the society is transfered to schools and the violence in the schools concerns all of us. This clearly shows the disturbance of the value system and the connection of the school, family and the society. Security in the schools is a part of the social security system and the improvement is brought by an intensive prevention and insisting upon the real values.
