The two important and up-to-date events – 6th International Fair of the Protection of Human Environment and 5th International Energy Fair, have been opened at Belgrade Fair. These specialised Fairs will last until Friday, 16th October, featuring numerous gatherings and lectures on the significance and various aspects of energy and ecology.
By organising these events we have tried to connect at one place the professionals engaged in these activities, while as the feedback we expect to get an information in which direction we are supposed to make further improvements, said Andjelko Trpkovic, General Manager of Belgrade Fair. Great help and support in organising both Fairs were received by the two Ministries – Protection of Environment and Energy, while we shall be offering positive energy to the exhibitors and visitors, which is sure to be found here at Belgrade Fair.
Talking about set goals in the energy sector, Dusan Mrakic, State Secretary in the Ministry of Mining and Energy, has pointed out to several main issues – continuous supply with energy, constant increase of efficiency, environment protection and activities necessary for the process of EU association agreement. Scheduled investments in the several-yeas-time, amount to nine billion euros, are supposed to be marking the most productive period in the energy sector.
Soon upon the Opening Ceremony of the ENERGY FAIR 2009, Oliver Dulic, Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, has announced the opening of another event - the ECOFAIR:
Protection of human environment is directly connected with human health and all those who neglect this fact have to be aware of the consequences for their own and for the health of their children, No doubt that the increase of certain diseases in Serbia, not present in other countries, is the result of the unorganised waste disposal, since we know that some of the dangerous waste materials directly or indirectly affect our food chain and eventually, our bodies. People are dealing with this field from their belief but during the course of time, this will become a well payed job. I have to emphasize that we have brought all the legislation referring to the protection of environment, since this is bringing us closer to the EU.
