These are the events organized by Belgrade Fair under cooperation with the A&L EXPO company, taking place this year On September 23 – 26, in the halls 1, 1A, 2 and 3.

- How important the private initiative is, proves business dealing of our partner, A&L EXPO company, which managed to hold three ’old’ events and a premiere one in this crisis year, said Mr. Andjelko Trpkovic, Belgrade Fair CEO.
- This is the year, in which many trade fairs worldwide are missing; only we initiate a new one – FRUVEG and we are unique in Serbia, in the Balkans and probably in the whole Europe for this.

The Fair CEO thanked all exhibitors, since the acceptance of a new project in 2009 is a great courage. Clearly, these are the companies led by hard working, energetic people, who know one does not come out of crisis by sitting and waiting, but by persistent work.

The complementarities as a very important characteristic of these four events were pointed out by Mr. Dejan Cvjetkovic, Managing Director of CD Systems. Stressing the hardest thing this year was to convince the international partners to participate in these events, since they have got an invaluable importance in the region, he said he expected the visitors to understand this, as well and there would be more of them this year than before.

The honor of opening the 1st FRUVEG, International Specialized Fruit and Vegetable Processing and Warehousing Technology Fair, belonged to the journalist Zaharije Trnavcevic:

- Serbia has got the fruits and vegetables growing tradition and it does it in the same way as in modern European countries. Serbian fruits are famous worldwide as ‘Healthy and Sweet’, since the growers can use the natural conveniences – many sunny days and a fertile soil, fit them with their knowledge and hard work and then grow the top quality fruits and vegetables with a lot of love. This is just the beginning, the foundations were set up, but the FRUVEG will show the Serbian capacities and, hopefully, become a traditional autumn event of Belgrade Fair.
