A GREAT INTERNATIONAL EVENT

Opening the 4th International Defense Fair PARTNER 2009, Mr. Dragan Sutanovac, Minister of Defense in the Government of the Republic of Serbia, said it had not been suspected this review of the Serbian defense and special purpose industry products, organized for the first time five years ago, would develop into a great international event with 75 participants from 13 worldwide countries, as many feature this year at the Fair.

As estimated by the Minister Sutanovac, the last year was the most important one in the export of special purpose industry products of 400 million US Dollars and the record one in the last few years. Since there were considerable export potentials, the Government of the Republic of Serbia would support the production of defense industry, arms and military equipment, announced the Minister. The confirmed quality and innovativeness of the products, as well as the tradition of Serbian special purpose production had the greatest advantage for the defense industry development, pointed out the Minister Sutanovac.
Having expressed his gratitude to the Ministry of Defense, under whose auspices the PARTNER 2009 has been organized and to Jugoimport SDPR, as the event co-organizer, Mr. Andjelko Trpkovic, Belgrade Fair CEO, estimated this event would quite certainly exceed the Belgrade Fair range in the future and become a Balkans review of the defense industry, arms and military equipment.
The Minister Sutanovac visited the exhibited products and equipment in the Belgrade Fair Hall 3 and outdoor space. |
