Pronouncing the Show open, Mr. Predrag Bubalo, Minister of Trade, Tourism and Services in the Government of Serbia, said the traffic was the development framework of our country, that it was significant as an industrial branch, but also as the development generator of the service section. Mr. Bubalo pointed out, the investment into the local industry of commercial vehicles was very important, since the last year’s data showed the average duration of the commercial vehicles on the worldwide roads was 10 years, and 15 – 20 on the local ones.

The President of the Board of Directors of the Business Association of the Road Vehicle Manufacturers and the General Manager of Ikarbus, Mr. Srecko Nijemcevic, reminded this was one of the three commercial vehicle shows with the OICA sign in the world. He pointed out this was a Show intended for business visitors and expressed his hope, it would further develop fast.

Mr. Graham Donald, General Manager of IVECO for Eastern Europe and Far East, said BEOTRUCK already had the worldwide level, pointing out the organization and the vehicle presentation method at Belgrade Fair met the worldwide standards. He marked Serbia as an important market for IVECO, which was shown by the permanent growth of the sold vehicles number and the expansion of the wholesale network.
